Oregon Military Museum

The Oregon Military Museum honors, preserves, and shares Oregon’s military heritage, including the history of the Oregon National Guard, the state’s early militias, and all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces. Riggs Ward Design collaborated with museum stakeholders to create a cohesive interpretive framework that traces Oregon’s military story from pre-statehood through modern-day service, highlighting pivotal events and the individuals whose service shaped the state’s history.

Through immersive environments and layered storytelling, the 9,000 square feet exhibits explore conflicts ranging from the Indian Wars to contemporary engagements, offering visitors opportunities to learn from and be inspired by stories of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience. Designed to engage a wide range of audiences, the reimagined galleries connect regional history to broader national narratives, encouraging reflection on Oregon’s unique role in the military history of the United States.
