Norfolk Botanical Garden

Riggs Ward Design planned and designed an enhanced visitor experience at the Norfolk Botanical Garden, creating accessible signage and visually striking, modern tram stops. The project addressed every aspect of wayfinding and interpretation, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for all visitors.
RWD’s work included entry ticketing analysis, campus identification signs, directional and regulatory signage, and a variety of interpretive displays. Consultation with local specialists informed key decisions, including optimal ticketing techniques and their application to the entry experience, ensuring that every visitor interaction was efficient and intuitive.

The team finalized the look and feel of the tram stops and all signage families, specifying typography, colors, materials, and finishes for each graphic element. The result is a cohesive suite of installations that enhance the beauty of the gardens while guiding and engaging visitors throughout the site.
