Riggs Ward worked with University of Virginia to design an exhibit on the Academical Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the history of the Rotunda. The exhibit explores the life of the site through Thomas Jefferson's plans and drawings, photographs of the site, and stories of residents. Two interactive tables offer visitors an opportunity to learn about the site by exploring a collection of photographs, documents, and texts. During the renovation of the site, a chemical hearth, part of an early science classroom, was discovered. Items uncovered in the hearth were conserved and are now on display in the exhibit.
